Operations Manager Project Managers are professionals who oversee both the operational aspects and project management functions within an organization. Their role combines ensuring daily business operations run smoothly with planning, executing, and closing specific projects. They coordinate teams, manage resources, set timelines and budgets, and work to achieve organizational goals efficiently. These managers act as a bridge between upper management and project teams, ensuring strategic objectives are met while maintaining operational excellence.

How does an operations manager project manager balance strategic oversight with hands-on project execution?

Operations Manager Project Managers are often required to juggle both high-level strategy and day-to-day project management. This dual responsibility means regularly aligning project objectives with organizational goals while also staying closely involved in timelines, budgets, and team coordination. Success in this role often depends on strong time management, clear communication, and the ability to delegate effectively. Collaboration with cross-functional teams—such as finance, HR, and technical departments—is common, ensuring that operations run smoothly while projects are delivered on time. Job description

Job Title: Senior Enterprise Project Manager (Digital Transformation)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of high-impact, cross-functional initiatives. You will serve as the "connective tissue" between business units and technical teams, taking ownership of project lifecycles from initial discovery to final value realization.
This role requires a high degree of maturity and influence. You will not only manage project mechanics (scope, schedule, cost) but also lead the "human side" of delivery-facilitating alignment, managing expectations, and proactively mitigating risks. If you are a solution-oriented leader who is comfortable challenging stakeholders to achieve better outcomes, this is a role where you can drive tangible organizational change.
Key Responsibilities
Lifecycle Delivery & Execution
• Project Ownership: Lead 3-6 concurrent projects through the full lifecycle. Ensure all initiatives adhere to PMO standards while utilizing the appropriate methodology (Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid).
• Delivery Rigor: Maintain ironclad control over project scope, schedule, and budget. Proactively identify risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies before they impact delivery.
• Governance & Reporting: Serve as the primary driver for project transparency. Prepare executive-level summaries, maintain status dashboards, and facilitate Steering Committee meetings to keep leadership aligned.
Stakeholder Influence & Partnership
• Influence Without Authority: Build deep partnerships across business units, technical teams, and external vendors. Drive shared ownership of outcomes by facilitating difficult conversations and aligning conflicting priorities.
• Solution-Minded Leadership: Act as a proactive problem solver. When project constraints arise, you are the leader who brings potential solutions, not just problems, to the table.
• Value Realization: Go beyond "completion." Document and communicate the actual business value and operational benefits delivered by your projects to ensure long-term visibility.
Continuous Improvement
• PMO Evolution: Actively contribute to the maturity of our project delivery standards. Identify and implement process improvements that increase the efficiency of the PMO.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience (one year of technical experience per year of college).
• Experience Baseline: Minimum of four (4) to six (6) years of experience in a formal project management role.
• Complexity Mastery: Demonstrated success managing projects with a medium-to-high degree of cross-functional complexity.
• Technical Communication: Exceptional oral and written presentation skills. You must be comfortable professionally challenging senior stakeholders.
Preferred Attributes
• Professional Certification: PMP certification is a strong plus.
• Modern Tooling: Experience utilizing AI/Automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to enhance project tracking or productivity.
• Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently, set priorities, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Mentorship: A passion for coaching and mentoring junior team members or project coordinators.
