You as a Senior Project Coordinator will:
- Set up and maintain project administration systems and processes.
- Complete and manage daily activity reports and project documentation.
- Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with procurement, costing, and estimating (PM leads; you provide support).
- Assist with scheduling and quality control processes.
- Participate in technical reviews, constructability assessments, and conflict identification.
- Prepare and manage technical submittals.
- Coordinate and manage document control including RFIs, submittals, transmittals, and daily reports.
- Maintain strong day-to-day communication with subcontractors, ensuring timely and accurate cost submissions.
- Assist with tracking and managing extra work activities, including documentation and authorization.
Is this the right role for you?
- 5+ years of experience in heavy civil, earthworks, or underground construction.
- Strong understanding of construction field operations and project progression on-site.
- Working knowledge of scheduling and quality control practices.
- Experience coordinating with subcontractors and managing related documentation and communication.
- Ability to read and understand construction contracts, including extra work scopes.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn proprietary construction software.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with field teams, Project Managers, Superintendents, clients, owners, and engineers.
- Willingness and ability to travel; valid driver's license required (reliable transportation to site is necessary).
