Job Summary
The Catering Operations Manager supports the successful delivery of events hosted on-site at the Georgia Aquarium as well as select off-premise locations. This role partners closely with Wolfgang Puck Catering and internal Aquarium teams to lead event logistics, labor planning, and operational coordination across a wide range of event formats.
With a primary focus on logistics and operational execution, this position provides hands-on leadership before, during, and after events, ensuring teams, resources, and timelines stay aligned. The Catering Operations Manager brings a collaborative mindset, strong event knowledge, and a solutions-oriented approach to both Aquarium-based and off-site events.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute event logistics for on-site Aquarium events and off-premise events
  • Oversee staffing, labor planning, and on-site staffing coordination
  • Coordinate operational details across culinary, facilities, sales, and event teams
  • Manage vendors, rentals, equipment, and transportation logistics for varied event locations
  • Provide visible on-site leadership during events, supporting real-time problem-solving
  • Ensure compliance with safety, service, and operational standards across all event settings
  • Support event timelines, floor plans, and production needs from setup through breakdown
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and guest experience
