Job description

SCOPE: The position supports CMHA Asset Management housing program by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant management and submission of HUD Form 50058 data for the program. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Asset Management, this position serves as the Agency's subject matter expert for HUD Public and Indian Housing Information Center (PIC) reporting and provides technical guidance, quality assurance, training, and problem resolution to promote regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities, duties and/or skills required.

  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of HUD PIC data related to Public Housing and other assigned housing programs by ensuring unit and resident information is current, complete, and compliant.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate submission of all HUD Form 50058 transactions for applicable CMHA housing programs in accordance with HUD regulations and reporting deadlines.
  • Analyze PIC reporting data to identify discrepancies, trends, and compliance issues, implementing corrective actions to maintain data quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Research and resolve complex 50058 reporting errors through detailed analysis, collaboration with staff, and implementation of appropriate corrective measures.
  • Serve as CMHA's primary technical resource for PIC and 50058 reporting issues, providing guidance, troubleshooting assistance, and solutions that support efficient program operations.
  • Develop and deliver training to Asset Management and Housing Choice Voucher staff regarding HUD 50058 reporting requirements, PIC processes, and best practices to promote continuous learning and operational consistency.
  • Partner with HUD PIC Coaches and other regulatory contacts to resolve reporting issues, clarify program requirements, and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and audits of resident files and program records to verify the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data entered into HUD reporting systems.
  • Monitor compliance with HUD regulations and recommend process improvements that enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and overall program performance.
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and recommendations related to PIC compliance, reporting trends, and corrective actions for management review.
  • Provide technical support and coaching to Asset Management staff while fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrate initiative by identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, streamline workflows, and enhance data integrity through creative and effective solutions.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive resident, employee, and Agency information while exercising sound judgment and the highest ethical standards.
  • Perform other duties, special projects, and assignments as directed to support the mission and operational objectives of CMHA.
