Senior Operations Manager

Position Overview
The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for leading all manufacturing operations within a production facility, ensuring the safe, efficient, and quality compliant production. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across production, planning, warehousing, maintenance, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement.
The ideal candidate is an experienced manufacturing leader with a strong background in food and/or beverage, manufacturing and a demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams while driving operational excellence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
  • 5+ years leading multiple departments or an entire manufacturing operation.
  • Experience in food, beverage, nutraceutical, or specialty chemical manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FDA regulations, and food safety systems.
  • Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence leadership.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
Preferred
  • MBA or master's degree.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience with batch manufacturing.
  • SQF Practitioner certification or equivalent.

Operational Leadership
  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve production schedules while maintaining exceptional safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Optimize capacity, labor utilization, equipment effectiveness, and inventory.
  • Establish operational KPIs and lead daily production reviews.
Safety & Compliance
  • Champion a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, GMP, FSMA, HACCP, and applicable regulations.
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
Quality & Food Safety
  • Partner with Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain audit readiness and support customer and third-party audits.
Continuous Improvement
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and Kaizen initiatives.
  • Drive improvements in OEE, productivity, waste reduction, and cost performance.
Financial Management
  • Manage operating budgets and manufacturing costs.
  • Support capital planning and operational investment decisions.
Leadership & Talent Development
  • Develop managers and supervisors through coaching and performance management.
  • Build a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous learning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, R&D, Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and Quality to achieve business goals.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience. Celsius is a total rewards company.
