Position Summary... What you'll do...Role summary:
The Senior Manager, Critical Response will lead Walmart Last Mile Delivery’s critical response function within Trust & Safety, overseeing a high-performing team supporting operations through the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). This role leads the response to critical safety and security incidents and external business disruptions, drives cross-functional coordination, and strengthens operational readiness and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate is a strategic people leader with experience in incident response, operational strategy, risk management, and stakeholder engagement who can effectively lead teams and make sound decisions in fast-paced, high-impact situations.

The Walmart Last Mile Delivery Trust & Safety team is committed to ensuring the safety and security of independent contractors, associates, and customers. The Incident Response team swiftly manages safety events, supporting field operations and delivery drivers during disruptions. This team collaborates across functions to maintain operational excellence, leveraging strong project and operations management, effective communication, adaptability, and accountability. Their efforts sustain a secure and efficient delivery environment, driving continuous improvement and business efficiency while fostering a culture of responsibility and responsiveness.
What you'll do:
  • Serve as the key liaison between Last Mile Delivery and GSOC, driving cross-functional alignment, communication, and execution.
  • Oversee a 24/7 on-call structure, leading managers to ensure consistent coverage and operational continuity.
  • Lead incident response strategies for rapid, effective management of safety and security events.
  • Monitor and assess external threats and drive proactive responses to disruptions impacting LMD operations.
  • Drive operational enhancements in partnership with Strategy, Product, and Engineering teams.
  • Brief senior LMD and cross-functional leadership on critical incidents, emerging risks, response efforts, and operational impacts.

What you'll bring:
  • 6+ years of experience in incident response, operations, risk management, asset protection, security, or related fields.
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing complex operational strategies.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, AI tools, and incident tracking systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead multiple strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
