  • Description of the Position

Responsible for enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and optimizing processes across various maintenance activities. Will drive continuous improvement initiatives that align with our strategic goals of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

  • Pro-actively Support the ONE Production System in general and the Process Management & Innovation Supervisor in particular in implementing, sustaining and continuously improving the OPS network with their central and local strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Lead change management efforts by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and gaining buy-in from stakeholders, therefore serving as a catalyst for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of current maintenance processes, identify inefficiencies, and map out existing workflows.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand process bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Apply Lean principles and tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, Kaizen events, Standard Work, and Visual Management to streamline operations.
  • Implement Lean methodologies to eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, and optimize resource utilization and space, as well as standardization.
  • Provide training and guidance to personnel on Lean principles and methodologies to build capabilities across the organization.
  • Manage Lean improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable solutions and monitor post-implementation results.
  • Ensure that Lean initiatives align with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Promote the awareness of current developments in Lean methods & tools, problem solving, CI and Change management.
  • Assist the Process Management & Innovation Supervisor in maintaining the OPS Control platform (OPS-CC).
  • Other Responsibilities
  • Maintains working area clean and organized.
  • Comply and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, local and federal regulations.
  • Perform other tasks and projects, as requested.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance culture requirements.
Education, Skills, and Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management or related field preferred.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) highly desirable.
  • Bring 3-4 years of valuable Process or Project experience, showcasing expertise in Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies (preferably in the MRO environment).
  • Demonstrate a keen interest in projects, preferably with experience in Maintenance or Production Processes.
  • Have a background in aviation, a definite plus.
  • Showcase an excellent understanding of Process concepts.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work accurately with attention to detail and quality
  • High sense of responsibility, commitment to delivery and constant improvement

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken)

Working conditions
  • Office environment. This job operates in a professional office environment.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax, scanner and filing cabinets.
  • Could often work more than 40 hours per week, including on evenings and weekends. Also usually travel often for work.
  • The workspace may range from a desk in an open layout cubicle, a private office or working remotely from home.
