Job description

Operations Manager

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK – Port St. Lucie, FL

It’s time to make your move. Drive your career forward with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® as an Operations Manager and discover your opportunities for growth! We are looking for a hard worker to oversee daily operational success and ensure exceptional service. This is primarily an office-based role, though it may occasionally require field support when necessary.

Starting pay: $50,000 - $60,000 depending on experience.

Candidates are expected to have reliable transportation to/from work. Must be willing to authorize a background check and pre-employment drug screen, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is a drug-free work place.

Core Responsibilities

· Supervise and dispatch move teams daily, coordinate employee scheduling and truck assignments.

· Determine staffing requirements, interview, hire, and oversee new employee onboarding and training.

· Coordinate and direct fleet maintenance and equipment inventory; ensure trucks and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and professional manner.

· Promote safety and uphold safety procedures and policies; ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and FMCSA guidelines.

· Complete monthly safety assessment reports and assignments to ensure compliance.

· Assist the Safety and Risk Management team with gathering reports as needed.

· Responsible for employee development, accountability, and corrective action programs.

· Responsible for being an “on-call” emergency contact outside of normal business hours.

· Reviews financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.

· Fosters culture and engagement through monthly breakfasts and team meetings.

What We’re Looking For

· A minimum of 3 years of business, management, or other relevant experience is required; TWO MEN AND A TRUCK or moving industry experience is preferred.

· Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or another related field is preferred.

· Demonstrated ability to lead by example, motivate, take initiative, develop, and direct people, and be accountable.

· Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and random drug screens.

· Ability to assess the performance of self, employees, and franchise to make improvements or take corrective action.

· Strong decision-making ability.
