Job description

As a CHB Operations Associate, you play a critical role in ensuring our customers' imports move smoothly, compliantly, and on time. You will manage endtoend customs brokerage operations for a dedicated portfolio of accounts, partnering closely with customers, carriers, government agencies, and internal teams.

What You'll Do

You will take ownership of daily customs brokerage operations for assigned customers, including:

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers, responding to questions and providing timely, accurate shipment updates
  • Prepare and process U.S. Customs entries and Partner Government Agency (PGA) filings, ensuring full regulatory compliance
  • Open and manage entry files in alignment with defined KPIs and service standards
  • Coordinate shipment clearance with freight forwarders, steamship lines, airlines, and container freight stations (CFS) to ensure timely release
  • Track and trace inbound shipments from port or airport through final delivery
  • Ensure all required documentation and entry packages are accurately uploaded into operating systems
  • Complete customer billing, delivery orders, and required operational reports
  • Maintain and update customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed
  • Collaborate closely with teammates and crossfunctional partners to support coverage, crosstraining, and peakvolume needs

  • CHB systems and technology vendors

Required / Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6-12 months of customs brokerage or related industry experience
  • At least 2 years in a CHB or operational support environment preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, detailoriented, and comfortable working under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment
  • Teamfocused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
  • Customs House Broker License preferred but not required

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of CHB

  • 6 -12 months of experience in the industry

  • Knowledge of Section 232 IEEPA tariff structure

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently

  • Persistently drives issues to closure

  • Well organized, detail oriented - especially when working under pressure

  • Works together with others in the business unit to achieve results, fosters teamwork

  • Ability to multi-task in a face paced environment

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required, or equivalent work experience

  • Customs House Brokerage License preferred but not required

Salary: $56,000 - $60,000*

Benefits: Full time employees are eligible for Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401k Match

* The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for this position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
