This position will work hands-on with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate, and Copilot) to support the development, testing, and refinement of AI-driven workflows and automation/agentic solutions within program management and operations.
The intern will play a key role in digital transformation initiatives by helping reduce manual work, improve data accuracy, and scale AI-enabled processes across the organization. A primary focus of this role will be iterating on AI (Copilot) outputs, refining prompts, and contributing to the development of repeatable, standardized automation workflows.
This role is best suited for a technically curious candidate who is interested in understanding how AI systems and automation tools function and how they can be applied to solve real business problems.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Support the development and refinement of AI (Copilot) agents and prompt strategies to improve output quality and consistency
  • Run, evaluate, and iterate on AI-generated outputs (e.g., meeting notes, action tracking, summaries, SharePoint integrated automation tools) to ensure accuracy and usability
  • Assist in building and maintaining Power Automate workflows to streamline repetitive processes
  • Support ongoing program management workflows, including Product Realization data maintenance, reporting, and documentation
  • Contribute to the development of standardized templates and repeatable processes for AI-assisted work
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Program Management, Product Realization, IT, and Operations) to identify automation opportunities
  • Assist in integrating data and automated solutions across tools (Excel, SharePoint, dashboards) to improve visibility and reporting
  • Participate in brainstorming and prototyping new AI-driven solutions to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency

Experience and Skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with Power BI and/or Power Automate is preferred

  • Strong understanding of AI concepts such as prompting, model behavior, and output validation
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to take a structured, methodical approach to problem-solving and iteration
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to learn new tools and systems quickly in a fast-paced environment

Education
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree (second-semester sophomore and beyond preferred) in a related field such as:
  • Computer Science
  • Information Systems
  • Data Analytics / Data Science
  • Engineering
  • Business Analytics or Operations (with a strong technical interest)

Additional Details

  • Work Structure: Primarily on-site with flexibility
  • Schedule: 15-20 hours per week (preferred availability Tuesday-Thursday, flexible within that range)

What Success Looks Like
  • Ability to independently refine AI prompts and improve output accuracy
  • Contribution to at least one working automation or AI-driven workflow
  • Demonstrated understanding of how AI can be applied to real business processes
  • Development of repeatable solutions that reduce manual effort for the broader team

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a fast learner with a collaborative mindset who is comfortable working in ambiguous environments and iterating toward solutions. They have a stronger interest in the technical side of AI, automation, and systems, and are motivated to understand how tools work at a deeper level rather than focusing solely on business coordination.
