Job Description:

This position is eligible for up to two days remote work perweek.

BASIC FUNCTION:

The Integration Specialist will be responsible for managing theintegration of various software applications, systems, anddatabases to ensure seamless interoperability and data flow acrossthe university's IT landscape. This role focuses on designing,implementing, and maintaining integration solutions to supportefficient operations and information exchange.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, develop, and implement integration solutions to connectdisparate systems enabling data flow and interoperability acrossthe university's IT ecosystem using our Integration Platform as aService(iPaaS) technologies.
  • Research and leverage 3rd party application programminginterfaces (APIs) to facilitate communication and data exchangebetween different systems, ensuring security and efficiency in datatransmission.
  • Analyze data structures, perform data mapping, and definetransformation rules to ensure data consistency and integrityduring integration processes.
  • Collaborate with OIT teams, stakeholders, and vendors to designintegrations that align with the university's strategic goals andsupport scalability and flexibility.
  • Identify and resolve integration issues, conducttroubleshooting, and provide technical support to ensure the smoothfunctioning of integrated systems.
  • Create comprehensive documentation of integration processes,configurations, and best practices. Develop and enforce integrationstandards and guidelines.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers,database administrators, and business analysts, to understandintegration needs and requirements.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely with OIT teams, vendors, and external supportresources to address complex technical issues and maintaineffective communication channels.
  • Participate in all efforts of the OIT department to enhance theeffective use of technology at the University.
  • Perform other related duties that may be assigned.

Requirements:REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information SystemsScience, Software Engineering or related field or an Associate'sdegree with 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in system integration, iPaaStechnologies, RESTful APIs, SOAP services, JSON/XML processing andHTTP based data exchange.
  • Experience with no code/low code tools or programminglanguages.
  • Proficiency in integration tools and technologies (e.g.,middleware platforms, ETL tools, API management platforms, etc.)and hands-on experience with various integration methods andprotocols.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, relational databases,SQL, and data transformation techniques.

  • Proven experience with modern programming and scriptinglanguages (Python, Powershell, JavaScript)
  • Relevant certifications in integration technologies areadvantageous.
