Overview

The Injection Engineer Intern will gain exposure to internal operations at Stryten Energy through hands-on experience in manufacturing, engineering, processing, and other areas of the company. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week learning opportunity running from May 2027 to August 2027 at our Lancaster, PA facility. Interns are responsible for their transportation to the plant. Responsibilities
  • Support Injection Molding Process control and capability using scientific molding principles.
  • Assist with molding improvements to include cycle time efficiencies, cavitation, scrap reduction, and establishment of  optimal process parameters.
  • Support process improvement, cost reduction and correction actions teams.
  • Provide technical support for daily processing activities.
  • Assist in the set-up, repair, and troubleshooting of injection molding equipment.
  • Follow all Environmental, health & safety as they apply to the facility & work area.
  • Understand and follow the required safety guidelines such as lockout/tag out use of PPE.
Qualifications

Education, Experience, Certifications:

  • Working towards a BS in Engineering with relevant coursework in Engineering/ Plastics Processing/ Manufacturing or a related field.
  • Graduating between December 2027 and May 2029
  • With a GPA of 3.0 or greater.
  • You must have transportation.
  • The position is required to work onsite daily.
  • Possibility of housing provided by the local university.

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:

  • Prior plastics injection molding experience preferred.
  • Familiar with all aspects of the scientific injection molding process.
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and database software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented thinking with enthusiasm for continuous learning.

Travel, other requirements:

  • Minimal or no travel.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
