Job description

Position Summary

Senior Car Care is seeking an experienced Senior Living Business Development Manager to develop strategic partnerships with senior living communities and introduce our vehicle management solutions to residents, families, and community leadership.

This position is designed for an experienced senior living professional who understands the Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) and senior care environment, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and related senior services.

The ideal candidate already understands how senior living communities operate, knows how to build relationships with community leadership, and is comfortable working with Executive Directors, Administrators, Sales and Marketing Directors, Resident Services teams, and other key decision-makers.

This is a relationship-driven B2B sales position. Success will come from becoming a trusted resource to senior living communities not simply selling a service.

About Senior Car Care

Senior Car Care helps senior living communities and families manage an often-overlooked responsibility: the resident's vehicle.

Our services help monitor and maintain vehicles while residents are still driving and provide families with support when driving needs change.

Our solutions include:

  • Vehicle monitoring and oversight
  • Registration and inspection tracking
  • Battery, tire, and vehicle-condition monitoring
  • Maintenance coordination
  • Vehicle pickup and return
  • Communication with residents and families
  • Vehicle transition assistance
  • Vehicle sale and ownership-transition support

Our goal is to make vehicle ownership easier for seniors, families, and the communities that serve them.

Key ResponsibilitiesSenior Living Business Development

  • Identify and develop new partnerships with CCRCs, Life Plan Communities, independent living communities, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, memory care communities, and other senior-focused organizations.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective community partners.
  • Conduct outreach to Executive Directors, Administrators, Sales and Marketing Directors, Resident Services leaders, and other community decision-makers.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings, presentations, community visits, and demonstrations.
  • Clearly communicate the value Senior Car Care provides to communities, residents, and families.
  • Develop relationships that lead to community partnerships and resident enrollment opportunities.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up throughout the sales and implementation process.

Community Relationship Management

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for senior living community partners.
  • Develop long-term relationships with community leadership and staff.
  • Educate community teams on how Senior Car Care works and how to introduce the program to residents and families.
  • Participate in resident and family informational events when appropriate.
  • Work with community leadership to identify opportunities where Senior Car Care can improve the resident and family experience.
  • Maintain relationships after implementation to encourage utilization, referrals, and continued partnership.

Industry Networking & Market Development

  • Develop relationships throughout the senior living and long-term care industry.
  • Represent Senior Car Care at senior living conferences, association meetings, networking events, trade shows, and community events.
  • Build referral relationships with professionals serving seniors and their families.
  • Stay informed about senior living trends, community operations, resident needs, and competitive developments.
  • Identify new markets and partnership opportunities for Senior Car Care.

Sales Performance

  • Maintain an active prospect pipeline and accurately track business development activity.
  • Meet established goals for outreach, appointments, presentations, community partnerships, and program enrollments.
  • Provide regular reporting regarding pipeline activity, partnership opportunities, market feedback, and results.
  • Work collaboratively with Senior Car Care leadership and operations to ensure a smooth transition from signed partnership to implementation.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous professional experience working with or selling into CCRCs/Life Plan Communities, assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities, retirement communities, or the broader senior living industry.
  • Strong understanding of senior living operations and the needs of residents and their families.
  • Established knowledge of the senior living decision-making structure and sales cycle.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, relationship management, community outreach, senior living sales, healthcare sales, or a related field.
  • Ability to build credibility and professional relationships with Executive Directors, Administrators, Sales Directors, Marketing Directors, Resident Services teams, and other senior living professionals.
  • Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable conducting in-person outreach and developing new relationships.
  • Ability to manage a sales territory and maintain an organized pipeline.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned market.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing professional relationships within the senior living, CCRC, assisted living, or long-term care industry.
  • Previous experience in senior living business development, community relations, admissions, sales, marketing, or partnership development.
  • Experience attending or participating in senior living industry associations, conferences, and networking organizations.
  • Experience introducing services or vendor partnerships into senior living communities.
  • Knowledge of the needs and concerns of adult children and family decision-makers navigating senior care transitions.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate understands that selling within senior living is built on trust, relationships, and credibility.

This individual should be comfortable walking into a senior living community, understanding its environment, identifying the appropriate decision-makers, and having meaningful conversations about how Senior Car Care can benefit residents, families, and the community.

They should understand the sensitive nature of senior transitions and be able to balance business development with empathy and professionalism.
