Pay Range:
$121,000-$150,000/year
What will make you successful?
Required Education/Experience:
The position of Product Development Manager - APQP requires a bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in a related engineering field and five (5) years of progressively responsible, post baccalaureate industrial/manufacturing experience. Two (2) years of this experience must involve executing launch processes and working with EV customers.
Additionally, the applicant must have experience in the following:
  1. GD & T
  2. PFMEA
  3. Control Plan
  4. Quality Control

What you will be doing
This position will assign and prioritize workload across the lab team members. The Product Development Manager - APQP will also draft APQP project plan and will manage, coordinate, oversee and engage in all APQP processes as required to determine CPK analysis, process trials and process verification through all manufacturing areas. The Product Development Manager - APQP will also draft DFM documents as well as report results of CPK data, trial results and lab test results. This person will function as a liaison between teams and drive continuous improvement to achieve operational excellence. More specifically, the Product Development Manager - APQP will be responsible for the following job duties:
  • Development Leadership:
    • Oversee Products from POC (Proof of Concept) through industrialization / production.
    • Oversee capability through the processes to ensure effective quality and efficiency. (APQP)
  • Process Optimization:
    • Evaluate and refine parameters to ensure product consistency, quality, and cost efficiency.
    • Collaborate in Development projects to improve extrusion productivity, reduce scrap rates, and optimize die performance.
  • Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, technicians. Responsible for performance management of the OPEX Tech Center team.
    • Foster a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement across the organization.
    • Collaborate with commercial, quality, production, and supply chain teams to align on trials plans and process requirements
  • Compliance and Standards:
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
    • Monitor and enforce safety practices related to equipment and extrusion processes.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:
    • Utilize data analytics to drive performance improvement and process capability.
    • Create Development to Industrialization metrics and KPIs to track process efficiency, and operational goals.
