Job description

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Simulation Operations Specialist for their Simulation department responsible for performing the operations of medical simulation technology, including all IT, manikin, audiovisual and moulage components.

QUALIFICATIONS:

All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.

Education:

  • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a medical or information technology field.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Preferred: EMT certification, Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist.

Technical Requirements:

  • Required: Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
  • Preferred: Experience with Multi-media hardware/software; knowledge of simulation manikin software.

Years of Related Work Experience:

  • Required: 3 years previous related experience in health care or information technology field.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years advanced skill and/or knowledge in technology, clinical patient
  • interaction, and simulation-based education.
