Detroit Golf Club is a premier private club in Detroit, MI. Richly embedded in the history of Detroit, DGC aims to uphold its heritage of the city with our contributions to the game of golf and robust and diverse membership. The historical Albert Kahn clubhouse sits along two Donald Ross-designed 18-hole courses. The club cultivates a welcoming atmosphere and garners a sense of camaraderie for members and employees alike. Along with an active environment, Detroit Golf Club hosts, The Rocket Classic PGA tournament through 2027.

The Golf Outside Operations Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing the day-to-day operations outside the golf shop. This includes greeting and assisting guests, maintaining golf carts, handling golf bags, and ensuring a smooth flow of play. The ideal candidate is friendly, proactive, and knowledgeable about golf.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist golfers upon arrival, providing excellent customer service.

• Manage the golf cart fleet, ensuring carts are cleaned, charged, and properly staged for play.

• Load and unload golf bags, ensuring they are placed on the correct carts.

• Maintain a clean and organized bag drop, cart staging area, and driving range.

• Assist golfers with club cleaning and storage services.

• Monitor the driving range, ensuring golf balls are picked, cleaned, and restocked.

• Work closely with the golf shop, starters, and rangers to ensure a seamless experience for players.

• Enforce course policies and assist with pace of play when necessary.

• Provide information on course conditions, policies, and amenities as needed.

• Assist with tournaments, outings, and special events as required.


Qualifications & Skills:

• Knowledge of golf etiquette, rules, and operations preferred.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to lift golf bags (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods.

• Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude.

• Previous golf course or hospitality experience is a plus.
