Job Title Supply Chain Operations Associate – Romulus, MI Overview We are immediately hiring a Supply Chain Operations Associate for our Supply Chain Solutions division at Ryder. This role supports GM's supply chain operations, ensuring material availability and inventory control for production requirements. Responsibilities Follow up on purchased parts to ensure shipment and on‐time delivery performance to support production requirements. Serve as main point of contact for all suppliers, providing direction regarding ship schedule requirements and containment plans when behind schedule. Make decisions on timing for supplier ship schedules, allowing push, pull, or expedited shipment based on inventory coverage at plant. Track critical parts and develop/execute containment plans to prevent interruptions or downtime on manufacturing lines. Coordinate or arrange alternative sources of material, request spot buys, and support other GM plants as needed. Monitor, set up, and cancel truck loads for material pick‐up as necessary to support schedule variations and maintain material coverage at the lowest cost for the customer. Review part buffers to confirm build requirements cover; maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO and adjust as needed. Document and manage S and AV code exceptions, maintain alarm interval, and investigate record adjustment requests from the previous shift. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications HS Diploma or GED (Required). Bachelor's Degree (Preferred). 1+ year of administrative experience (Preferred). 1+ year of relevant supply‐chain or inventory control experience (Preferred). Knowledge of MGO (GM's MRP system) – Intermediate (Preferred). Knowledge of transportation management – Intermediate (Preferred). Knowledge of material flow in manufacturing processes – Intermediate (Preferred). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational, problem‐solving, and time‐management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible and self‐driven in a fast‐paced environment. Skill and Ability Highlights Create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels. Flexibility to operate in a dynamic environment. Compensation Pay Type: Salaried, Non‐Exempt / Paid Weekly. Target Salary: $50,000 per year, plus eligible for overtime. Schedule Sunday – Friday, 10:00pm to 6:00am.
