LOCATION DETAILS:Onsite at CLI during Conservatory - Southampton, MA

COMPENSATION:The pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.

ABOUT CLI STUDIOS:

We are a group of unique, diverse, and creative individuals who deeply believe in the transformative power of the performing arts. We are on a mission to make dance education more accessible to aspirational students around the world using a mix of technology, innovative thinking, and an amazing mission-driven team!

Through our online training program dancers around the world can take over 1,500 classes from top dance instructors from New York and Los Angeles. For more advanced students, we offer the CLI Conservatory, an extensive in-person training program where dancers launch their professional careers with training and support from over 100 world-renowned choreographers.

Our team is a collaboration between world-class performing artists (e.g. multi-season stars from SYTYCD), technologists, startup operators, and more. We believe business and art are not mutually exclusive. In fact, it is the melding of these two worlds that has made us the bold, creative force we are today. In the same sentence, you'll hear us talking about dance technique, studio production, and conversion rates.


HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Dance Faculty Assistants work with CLI Conservatory choreographers, the CLI Conservatory operations team, and the CLI Conservatory Artistic Director, Teddy Forance.

You will be curious about how you approach your work. You will not be afraid to act fast and confidently find solutions to challenges and questions of our members. You will be someone who is able to work collaboratively, but also thrives in taking the initiative in an independent manner. You'll also be up for the adventure of working at an early-stage startup, which means you are ready and willing to wear multiple hats when needed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Collaborating with the operations team on Conservatory creative projects such as media days, student showcase, photoshoots, creative films, auditions, the end of year show, and more.
  • Assisting the operations team on day-to-day Conservatory initiatives such as general studio operations, reviewing Conservatory and mentorship schedules, and opening and closing our studios each day.
  • Working with our wellness team on social events for our dancers to ensure they have a great experience both in and outside of the studios.
  • Supporting the CLI Conservatory Intensives team on the Fall, Winter, and Summer Intensives, as needed.
  • Working with the operations team on the Admitted Students weekends for upcoming Conservatory students to experience the Conservatory.
  • Supporting students in careers initiatives such as onboarding their personal brandingassets into the CLI Conservatory Careers database, coordinating alumni training events, and connecting Conservatory dancers to available professional jobs in the dance industry.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Critical to our team is someone who is excited about our unique mission at CLI Studios! You are passionate about dance, detail oriented and organized, and willing to hustle to hit goals and deadlines. Your skills and experience should include the following:

  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
  • Demonstrated skill in collaborating effectively across the organization.
  • Ability to work well independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Ability to multi- task and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong familiarity with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education/Experience:

  • One to three years of experience in a customer facing role
  • Experience within the dance industry (as a former dancer or employee of a dance or danced-related company)

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • No supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role with ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PC's, laptop, and telephone will be required.
