Warehouse Associate Job Description

Western Builders Supply was organized in 1945 as a buying organization by a group of independent lumber yard owners. We sell a wide variety of products, but our focus is specialty construction screws and bits.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Associate to join our team. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of orders, maintaining inventory, and keeping the warehouse organized and safe. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Inventory Management: Stock, relocate, and organize products within the warehouse.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and equipment usage.
  • Equipment Operation: Able to operate and become certified on warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean and organized, including regular sweeping, trash removal, and shelf maintenance.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damage before shipping.
  • Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate records of orders, inventory, and shipments.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
