POSITION SUMMARY



The Facilities & Operations Associate serves as a versatile operational support professional responsible for maintaining agency facilities, grounds, donation areas, and operational spaces in a safe, clean, organized, and functional condition. This position supports the daily operations of Providence House through facility upkeep, custodial services, grounds maintenance, donation processing, room turnovers, event support, and general operational assistance.
Through a combination of facility care, customer service, and hands-on operational support, this role contributes directly to agency readiness, resident services, safety, and the overall appearance and functionality of Providence House properties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Facility Operations & Maintenance Support

•         Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and functionality of agency buildings and grounds.
•         Perform custodial duties including cleaning common areas, offices, classrooms, restrooms, and outdoor spaces.
•         Complete room turnovers and prepare residential units for occupancy.
•         Assist with minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility improvement projects.
•         Replace light bulbs, perform basic maintenance tasks, and report larger maintenance concerns.
•         Assist with facility inspections and identify potential safety hazards.

Grounds & Property Maintenance

•         Maintain outdoor areas including landscaping, debris removal, trash collection, and general grounds upkeep.
•         Assist with seasonal property maintenance and beautification projects.
•         Ensure entrances, parking areas, sidewalks, and exterior spaces remain clean and welcoming.

Donations & Resource Support

•         Assist with receiving, unloading, sorting, organizing, and distributing donated items.
•         Maintain organized donation storage and inventory areas.
•         Support residents and staff with the movement and distribution of donated goods.
•         Assist with donation drives and special collection efforts as needed.

Operational & Event Support

•         Assist with agency events, meetings, trainings, and special projects.
•         Set up and break down tables, chairs, equipment, and event materials.
•         Support various departments with operational needs as assigned.
•         Assist with moving furniture, supplies, equipment, and other materials throughout the organization.

Safety & Compliance

•         Follow all agency safety policies and procedures.
•         Utilize proper lifting techniques and equipment when moving materials.
•         Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
•         Report safety concerns, hazards, and facility issues promptly.
•         Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards.

Team Collaboration & Accountability

•         Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding facility, grounds, and operational needs.
•         Demonstrate flexibility in responding to changing organizational priorities.
•         Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
•         Support the mission and values of Providence House through daily service and interactions.
