Position Information
Job Title Summer Operations Assistant Position Summary
Operations Assistants are responsible for overseeing summer housing groups that are utilizing residence halls and facilities. They are responsible for managing camp and conference operations including scheduling and managing groups that are arriving to campus and assisting with New Student Orientation Registration Days. They are also responsible for completing projects assigned by Residence Life Professional Staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Attend summer meetings each week.
  • Manage check-ins and triage issues.
  • Manage communication with all housing groups.
  • Manage placement for all housing groups.
  • Prepare materials and scheduling for all group check-ins including flyers, keys, etc.
  • Communicate camp dates, needs, and other necessary information to the staff.
  • Work with Residence Life Staff on any billing regarding camp and conference participants.
  • Communicate well with staff, parents, students, and camp leaders, and departments organizing housing groups.
  • Work on Facilities projects
  • Assist with the room key audit, preparation, and inventory
  • Assist in residence hall key audit
  • Attend and assist with New Student Orientation Registration Days
  • Assist in managing Facilities Assistant projects
  • Due to the constant changes to the working environment in this position, additional duties may be added or retracted from the current job description at the time the need arises. The student will be informed upon changes.

Must have and maintain both a cumulative and semester GPA of 2.5
