Job Description Summary:
The Manager, Field Operations & Analytics, is responsible for driving effectiveness and operational excellence to enhance overall field performance for customer-facing field teams.
This role supports field force sizing and deployment, Targeting and Alignment, Incentive Compensation Management, CRM enhancements, measures and monitors Sales Force performance, and delivers analytical insights in collaboration with key business partners to achieve commercial objectives and to support data-driven business and sales strategies.
This role requires leading cross-functional collaboration, maintaining documentation and communicating key inputs to cross-functional partners.
The incumbent ensures adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Manage key incentive compensation planning and administration activities, including plan design analytics, goal setting, reporting, payout administration, and awards/recognition.
  • Manage field deployment, size, structure, territory alignments, placement efforts by partnering with key stakeholders and ensure field teams are optimally deployed to achieve commercial objectives.
  • Lead and oversee Sales team CRM enhancements and new projects, ensuring priorities are aligned appropriately with business strategy, scalability, and ongoing maintenance considerations.
  • Analyze configuration changes working with Veeva CRM System Administrator (IT). In collaboration with IT, Develop and establish CRM test scripts and coordinate/schedule UATs with relevant field users.
  • Identify, prioritize, and implement process improvements related to CRM functionality, customer data, and reporting.
  • Improve and enrich data quality within CRM - address, status, affiliations of HCPs, COEs, establish and monitor match/merge and stewardship activities.
  • Manage and oversee roster for all field facing teams along with on-boarding and off-boarding processes.
  • Lead quarterly cyclical alignment changes and conduct impact analysis and communicate key inputs ZTT/Roster/Target lists to all cross functional partners Patient Services/BI/IT.
  • Lead the planning, governance, and continuous improvement of integrated change request processes across cross-functional BI/IT departments.
  • Oversee and/or develop geographical sales analysis, including trend analysis, regional data, product rankings, market segmentation, call analysis and other miscellaneous sales support.
  • Prioritize projects, meet timelines and exceed quality standards based on incoming and ongoing business needs.
  • Analyze data and data requirements regarding reporting solutions, ensure data quality, and match back to core systems transaction results.
  • Create and Maintain SOP documentation of Bus Ops solutions (CRM, Reporting, IC), data mapping, data dictionary, and reporting standards.
  • Serve as a key business partner to Commercial, Patient Services, BI, IT, and other stakeholders to align operational priorities and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and day-to-day direction on commercial operations initiatives, as applicable.
  • Monitor operational performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and business impact.
  • Perform other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related business or scientific discipline and a minimum of 6+ years progressively responsible experience in commercial operations, business analytics or related positions in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related environment including demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives and business processes.
  • Minimum of 3 years in field operations functional areas - Field force effectiveness, Field Deployment, Size and Structure, Targeting, Alignment, Incentive Compensation, sales performance reporting/analysis, Veeva CRM.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience designing and building visualizations using PowerBI or other business intelligence tools (Tableau, Qlik Sense) - strong interest in learning new tools and software is key.
  • Demonstrated expertise in analytical methodologies, statistics, and implementing structured ways of analyzing business problems.
  • Good understanding of uncovering data/analysis requirements, and analytical needs
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills include the ability to create and deliver clear and impactful data presentations, and the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills include the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and drive decisions in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate commercial needs into operational solutions and system/process enhancements.
  • Experience managing competing priorities while balancing strategic objectives and tactical execution.

Expected Base Salary Range:
113,100 - 163,700. The base salary offered will be contingent on assessment of candidate education level, background, and experience relative to the requirements of the position they are being considered for, as well as review of internal equity.
In addition to base salary, PTC employees are also eligible for short- and long-term incentives. All eligible employees may also enroll in PTC's medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings plans.
