ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following):
  • Partner with Mortgage Operations leaders and subject matter experts to understand processes supporting the mortgage loan lifecycle
  • Analyze operational workflows to identify manual, repetitive, or time-intensive activities that may benefit from AI or automation
  • Identify bottlenecks, handoff challenges, and opportunities to improve efficiency across operational teams
  • Document current-state processes and help design improved future-state workflows incorporating AI and automation
  • Translate operational challenges into structured requirements and solutions in partnership with Business Operations, Technology, Data, and other teams
  • Assist with the design, testing, implementation, and scaling of AI and automation solutions across Mortgage Operations
  • Develop reporting, dashboards, or tracking tools that provide visibility into operational performance and improvement opportunities
  • Gather feedback and monitor implemented solutions to identify enhancements and additional automation opportunities
  • Help measure the impact of solutions, including improvements in efficiency, turnaround time, capacity, and reduction in manual effort
  • Manage multiple AI and automation initiatives while coordinating effectively across business and technical stakeholders

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of professional experience in business operations, business analysis, process improvement, data analytics, financial services, technology, or a related area
  • Demonstrated interest in AI, automation, or using technology to improve business processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex workflows and identify inefficiencies
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with operational data and business metrics
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive, curious mindset with a willingness to learn mortgage operations and emerging AI capabilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous internship or professional experience within mortgage lending, banking, financial services, fintech, operations, or technology
  • Exposure to mortgage origination, loan processing, underwriting, credit/risk operations, or related functions
  • Experience with process mapping, requirements gathering, workflow analysis, or continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with AI tools, generative AI, prompt engineering, automation platforms, or business intelligence tools

The expected salary range for this position is between:
$72,100.00 - $87,700.00
The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
