Job description

Opportunity

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Quality Operations Analyst to support our Huntsville, AL location.

The Quality Operations Analyst will support the Director of Quality in ensuring that products, processes, suppliers, and internal operations meet customer, regulatory, contractual, and company quality requirements. This role will help strengthen quality practices by supporting risk management, audit readiness, corrective action tracking, quality metrics, process compliance, and continuous improvement activities.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and comfortable working across functions to identify risks, track actions to closure, and help ensure the organization consistently meets quality and mission success expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Quality with mission assurance, quality management, and compliance-related activities.
  • Assist with internal quality assessments, internal audits, management reviews, customer audits, and audit readiness preparation.
  • Track corrective and preventive actions, nonconformances, findings, risks, and improvement actions through closure.
  • Review quality data, inspection results, process metrics, and performance trends to identify risks or recurring issues.
  • Maintain and support quality documentation, procedures, work instructions, records, and compliance evidence.
  • Assist with root cause analysis, corrective action reviews, and effectiveness checks.
  • Support supplier quality activities, including supplier performance tracking, documentation review, and issue follow-up.
  • Help prepare quality reports, dashboards, briefings, and status updates for leadership.
  • Partner with program management teams to support quality objectives.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that reduce risk, improve process discipline, and strengthen mission success.
Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2-5 years experience in an engineering or software development environment; at least 2 years specific experience in process compliance/process improvement
  • Experience in quality, manufacturing, operations, aerospace, defense, engineering, or a regulated environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple action items, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Experience working with quality systems, corrective actions, audits, nonconformances, or compliance documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and follow up with stakeholders to drive closure of open actions.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or mission-critical systems.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, CMMI, CMMC, DoD, or customer quality requirements.
  • Experience with root cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, or fault tree analysis.
  • Experience using quality management systems, ERP/MRP systems, or audit management platforms.
  • Knowledge of risk management, supplier quality, configuration management, or product assurance.
  • Able to be a 'culture carrier' for PeopleTec's People First culture
  • 15+ yearsย experience in an engineering or software development environment
