About the Role

The Accounting Manager plays a critical role in supporting the financial leadership of the organization by supervising accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This position is responsible for assisting in the management of the accounting team, coordinating month-end and year-end close processes, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The Accounting Manager collaborates closely with other departments to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying process improvements and implementing best practices in financial management. Ultimately, the Accounting Manager contributes to the overall financial health and transparency of the organization by delivering timely and accurate financial information.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Demonstrated experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency with accounting software/ERP and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with strong attention to details.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Previous experience in corporate finance, audit experience and/or public accounting environment.
  • Experience with multi-entry
  • Knowledge of financial modeling and data analysis including Power BI
Responsibilities
  • Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, asset cost and general ledger.
  • Coordinate and support the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely completion of journal entries, account reconciliations and reporting deliverables.
  • Review and approve close outputs for accuracy and completeness
  • Support year-end audit schedules and coordinate with auditors by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and implementing audit recommendations.
  • Prepare and/or review financial statements and management reports including, but not limiting to, balance sheets, income statements and cash flow inputs.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements by maintaining proper documentation and audit readiness.
  • Analyze variances and support explanations for management.
  • Ensure proper recording of transactions and maintenance of the general ledger
  • Oversee reconciliations for key accounts including but not limited to bank, AR/AP subledgers, accrued liabilities, and prepaid expenses.
  • Identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain documentation of accounting policies and procedures
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, tax requirements, and relevant regulations
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance and professional development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement automation or system enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights for budgeting and forecasting.
