Fountain Tire is seeking a dedicated Accounting Manager to be a key player in our dynamic finance team based in our South Edmonton Corporate Head Office.ย 

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing core accounting operations and financial reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information. The successful candidate will play a key role in upholding strong internal controls, developing a highperforming accounting team, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting through compliance with accounting standards and internal policies, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting efficiency.What do we offer at Fountain Tire?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, engage, develop, and coach an accounting team to drive consistent performance and professional growth
  • Oversee accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including audit coordination and support
  • Ensure effective monthend and yearend close processes, including planning and resourcing to ensure deadlines are adhered to
  • Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal controls, regulatory and organizational policies
  • Prepare and review financial analysis, management reports, and commentary to support senior leadership and governance needs
  • Partner with business unit leaders to provide financial insights and operational decision support tools
  • Support tax compliance, including tax filings and yearend tax provisions
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across operational functions
  • Lead or contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and crossfunctional initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver accurate financial information and maintain a positive, safe, and productive work environment aligned with organizational values

What does it take to get on track?

  • CPA designation is required
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 7 or more years of progressive accounting experience including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role
  • A customer-service mindset with a proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong understanding of financial statement preparation, internal controls, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Working knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and regulatory compliance
  • Experience supporting multi-entity or operational environments is considered an asset
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong financial reporting skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
