Back Accounting Manager Acctg Mgr Dallas, Texas Dallas:Fin/Acct/HR:Contract External Aug 3, 2026 Contract-to-Hire: Accounting Manager (10911) Our client, located in Central Dallas, is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis.

This role is 100% in-office.

Key Qualifications & Duties:
  • Legal industry experience is required. Experience with contingent-based law work is highly preferred.
  • Supervisory experiences are required.
  • Must be comfortable with a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
  • Experience with QuickBooks is a bonus
Summary:

This Accounting Manager will also assist in completing administrative, organizational, and analysis tasks in monitoring the financial health of the firm. The Accounting Manager reports directly to the Controller.

Duties:
  • Assists in preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports.
  • Assists in the creation, maintenance, and enforcement of written policies and practices as established by Firm management.
  • Assists in Identifying solutions to discrepancies in financial records.
  • Assist in ensuring timeliness and accuracy of the general accounting processes of the Firm including time, and cost entry, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, trust accounting, collections, general ledger, fixed asset accounting and financial reporting.
  • Assists in maintaining and improving the Firm's accounting systems.
  • Prepare Client Disbursements
  • Prepare Checks for Deposit for All accounts
  • Manage the Accounting Team daily work
  • Train new employees as needed
  • Correspond with the Partners as needed
  • Assists in coordinating and supervising reconciliations of accounting systems and data flow, timeliness of data capture and variance analysis.
  • Responsible for maintaining complex spreadsheets related to current and former partner compensation, including but not limited to, capital reconciliation, departed partner schedules and deferred compensation.
  • Responsible for managing receivables inventory related policies and processes, including monthly inventory analysis, aging policies, and annual collection push.
  • Coordinate preparation and submission of schedules in connection with the annual financial audit with external auditors.
  • Assists in establishing and maintaining internal controls.
  • Assists in managing tax reporting and compliance with the Firm's external CPA firm.
  • Assists in managing bank relations with regards to cash management and compliance reporting.
  • Lead various accounting projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Legal industry experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience leading accounting operations.
  • Significant experience with large ERP systems required, and experience with QuickBooks and ADP preferred.
  • Proficient in basic office software programs including Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient with data analysis, critical thinking, and problem solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
