Job Title: Accounting Manager 

Location: Vaughan, ON (Hybrid)

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 CAD

Overview We are currently recruiting on behalf of a prominent, multi-site specialized manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day financial operations for its Canadian divisions. Reporting directly to executive leadership, this hands-on role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a lean manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will drive accurate multi-entity reporting, lead budgeting cycles, and champion continuous process improvements across corporate locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day general ledger operations, financial close processes, and operational accounting across multiple business units
  • Partner closely with executive leadership on annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with ASPE and IFRS standards
  • Evaluate, refine, and enforce internal controls, accounting workflows, and ERP data integrity
  • Conduct cost analysis, inventory tracking, and operational reporting to optimize manufacturing efficiencies
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies for year-end reviews and filings

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, preferably within specialized manufacturing, industrial engineering, or technical production environments
  • Full professional fluency in both English and French (written and spoken) is preferred
  • Strong technical expertise in ASPE and IFRS reporting frameworks, along with multi-entity accounting experience
  • Hands-on proficiency with enterprise ERP systems and advanced MS Excel analytical functions
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) is strongly preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel periodically

Compensation

  • $100,000 - $120,000 CAD annually, plus benefits package
