Position Summary


The Database Sustainment Specialist I (DSS I) provides on-site support to Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) to maintain, update, and validate facility, room, and equipment data within the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support – Facility Management (DMLSS/LogiCole FM) system. The DSS I supports DHA facility management by ensuring accurate data entry, compliance with DHA standards, and consistent DMLSS/LogiCole FM utilization.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update DMLSS/LogiCole FM facility, room, and system inventories, including Facility Inventory, Room Inventory, and Facility System Inventory modules.
  • Populate and maintain required data fields in accordance with DHA policies and government-provided information.
  • Support Work Request, Preventive Maintenance, and Project Management modules as directed.
  • Assist with Regulatory Compliance / Joint Commission data entry and tracking within DMLSS/LogiCole FM.
  • Support drawing and space management activities using DrawBase and integrated CAD tools.
  • Participate in Facility Management Team meetings and coordinate with MTF staff.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness in accordance with DHA guidance.
  • Support room inventory validation and DHA-directed assessments.
  • Maintain professional communication with Government personnel and adhere to security, access, and privacy requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Working proficiency in English (read, write, and speak).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn DMLSS/LogiCole FM.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time at assigned MTF.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required installation access and background checks.
  • Two (2) years of DMLSS/LogiCole FM experience desirable but not mandatory.
