Job description

COGNOS Reporting Business Analyst This position will perform the duties of a COGNOS Business Analyst for the IT Risk Assessment & Platforms program within the Enterprise Supplier Risk Management System & Applications Management Team. The goal of this program is to identify opportunities for strengthening and enhancing the current operational risk management framework at Citi. This position will develop a reporting strategic plan and implement reports to achieve these objectives.

Responsibilities: Define standard and customized reporting to meet management requirements. Analyze complex data for reporting and/or performance (trend) analysis. Develop reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc queries for internal and executive audiences.

Assist with COGNOS training to new users and knowledge transfer. Support technology to enable integrated reporting of the O&T Risk landscape. Persuade and influence stakeholders in other areas and occasional external parties through developed communication and negotiation skills.

Provide in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions. Qualifications: Experience in business or operational analysis and reporting required. Minimum of 1 to 2 years of professional experience developing advanced reports using COGNOS Report Studio (10.1 or 10.2) required

SQL knowledge and an understanding of relational databases. Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and ability to resolve issues. Advanced MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint.

Minimum: BS/BA degree. Preferred: MA/M.Sc.//MBA degree. Minimum 3+ years of experience in Operational Risk, Technology Risk and/or Operations Risk related projects

Knowledge of standard Risk Management Control frameworks including COSO, COBIT, ITIL and regulatory guidelines including OCC and FFIEC are a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills; very strong influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills. Track record of interfacing with and presenting results to Senior Management.

Excellent follow-up skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task, strong leadership presence, strong team-orientation and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and strong analytical skills. Proven ability to work independently and effectively in a complex environment with multi-location team structure.
