As a Manufacturing Engineer at Schreiber Foods, you will play a pivotal role inoptimizingour production processes, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective manufacturing of our food products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production Operations, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Reliability Engineering, Controls Engineering, Operations Excellence, and Supply Chain, to drive continuous improvement,maintainproduct quality, and enhance overall production performance. Your role will encompass equipment optimization,improveprocess capability, process step-to-step enhancement, FMEA, risk reduction, and close collaboration with various teams.

This position is on-site at our Beloit, Wisconsin manufacturing plant.

Whatyou'lldo:

• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes andidentifyareas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, process capability, risk, and cost reduction.

• Design and implement improvements to enhance yield, reduce waste, increase throughputs, improve cycle times, reduce bottlenecks, and streamline operations whilemaintainingstrict adherence to food safety and quality standards.

• Collaborate with Operations Excellence and Data Science/Analytics teams toleveragedata for process optimization.

• Collaborate cross functionally to scale up new products from concept to production, ensuring seamless integration into existing manufacturing processes.

• Partner with Maintenance and Reliability Engineering to ensure equipment uptime and reliability as well as integrate predictive maintenance strategies. Collaborate with Maintenance and Reliability Engineering for long-term solutions.

• Lead orassistin the development of new equipment installations or modifications, from concept to commissioning, with a focus on maximizing output, minimizing downtime, and reducing operational risk.

• Utilize data analysis and statistical techniques toidentifybottlenecks, process variability, and areas for improvement in production processes.

• Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to proactivelyidentifypotential failure points, risks, and weaknesses in processes and equipment. Develop strategies to reduce operational risk and enhance process reliability, working closely with Reliability Engineering.

• Define and own manufacturing process control plans. Set up in-process measurement systems. Complete GR&R activities to ensure effectiveness. Set up processmonitoringand trending, including SPC of critical parameters.

• Perform process capability studies to predict manufacturing process trends toallowingus to meet customer specifications and create stability in day-to-day operations.

• Working collaboratively, troubleshoot manufacturing issues,identifyroot causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to preventreoccurrence.

• Participate in theselectionand evaluation of equipment, tools, and materials to ensureoptimalperformance and cost-effectiveness, specifically focusing on enhancing productivity and reducing operational risk.
• Execute troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activities on aseptic filling systems.
• Act as packaging and filling SME for the facility and be a liaison for the CAPEX engineering team for fulfilling capital projects on time.
• Provide technical guidance for setups, PMs, and root cause analysis of electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Work with the maintenance team on cost optimization for parts and overall service, including alternative sourcing or reverse engineering of parts.
• Train and coach plant maintenance staff on equipment and control systems related to filling and packaging equipment.

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred(Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical,chemicalor any engineering related field).

• 5+ years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with form fill seal filling technology a plus.
• Preferred experience with aseptic beverage production, but not required.

• Experience within food, beverage, or pharmaceuticals is preferred, butnotrequired.

• A strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, GMP, FDA) or the ability to understand/learnthis space isrequired.

• Project management experience preferred but not required.

• Collaborative approach and excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Experience as an engineer for Tetra Pak, SiG, Scholle-IPN, or Combibloc preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
