Job description

Audubon is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team in our Houston, TX Office. The Senior Project Manager will be part of the Corrosion Services service line, a Senior Project Manager is accountable for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of complex and/or large projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. This position reports to the Director of Corrosion Services. The successful Senior Project Manager will provide direction and management support to project teams during the execution of Cathodic Protection (CP) Construction projects.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Acts as the primary interface between the project team and the client representative. Act as the face of Audubon to the client.
  • Creates, executes and revises project execution plans as required to meet client requirements and project metrics.
  • Identifies resources needed and manages team responsibilities.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of assigned projects.
  • Ensures that all deliverables have been reviewed, approved and signed off prior to issue to the client.
  • Ensures the project team follows the Audubon standards and procedures.
  • Responsible for reviewing project transactions and reporting any discrepancies on a weekly basis.
  • Responsible for review and approval of invoices within a 48hr turnaround.
  • Responsible for maintaining the resource planning on assigned projects.
  • Manages the project budget and schedule.
  • Remains completely accessible to client during the life of project and provides single point of contact, ensuring specific requests are process timely and appropriately.
  • Organizes and directs a Project Management Team of other Project Managers and/or Field Personnel.
  • Drives Management of Change philosophy and enforces corresponding procedures.
  • Serves as the champion for safety and quality on the project.
  • Reviews and provides final Audubon approval to all subcontractors’ contracts and invoices.
  • Manages the overall execution of projects.
  • Participates as a contributing member of assigned Functional Group or Execution Center.
  • Possess a detailed understanding of the sales / BD process.
  • Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions.
  • Effectively utilizes each team member to their fullest potential.
  • Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner.
  • Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members and peers.
  • Mitigates team conflict and communication problems.
  • Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
  • Leads and/or acts as a member of internal teams/task forces.
  • Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, efficiency, and utilization.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Education Required: High School diploma and 5 years of Relative Experience.
  • Education/Licensure Preferred: Bachelor Degree, MBA, Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years of industry related experience as a Project Manager.
  • Experience Preferred: 8 years of experience as the Lead on CP Construction projects and/or Project Manager.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling techniques and software.
  • Knowledgeable in cost estimating and control.
  • Able to speak comfortably in a group setting.
  • Understanding of all applicable deliverables.
  • Understands complex revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly.
  • Understands our pricing model and billing procedures.
  • Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization.
