Job Summary: The Game Operations Seasonal Assistant role will assist in the planning and execution of Atlanta Hawks game night and special event activations. The Game Operations Seasonal Assistant will assist in the brainstorming, planning, and execution of theme nights, entertainment performances, and in-game contests. This position includes both in-office and game-day responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:Hawks Game Execution:
  • Act as a stage manager on game nights focusing on contestant selection and administrative elements such as waiver processes and prizing distribution.
  • Coordinate event rehearsals alongside Live Production and Entertainment teams.
  • Deploy and maintain props and special effects including Cryo (CO2) Equipment.
  • Act as a liaison with the group sales and membership teams.
Hawks Game Operations Support:
  • Aid in producing comprehensive rundowns and timing sheets, and game scripts for Hawks games and major Hawks related games and events.
  • Assist in orientation of team members and maintaining standard operating procedures.
  • Oversee parking, credentials, and early access lists for security staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness of arena storage space.
Event Preparation:
  • Assist in planning entertainment and activations for all Atlanta Hawks games and special events such as Meet the Team, Million Meal Pack, Watch Parties, and Membership Events.
  • Assist in the research of innovative ideas to improve and enhance game operations elements.
  • Support video production and entertainment teams as necessary.
Requirements:
  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience (internships included)
  • Highly organized, resourceful, detailed-oriented, quick learner
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with CO2 equipment preferred
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in Game Operations
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in marketing or business field preferred.
Working Conditions:
  • Available to work various hours including evenings/nights, weekends, holidays and all Atlanta Hawks home games
  • Able to lift 50+ pounds
  • The ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Hours: Full-time, typically Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work outside regular hours as needed.
