Job description

About Citylitics Inc.
Citylitics delivers predictive intelligence on where, how, and why infrastructure investments will occur across North America.

Infrastructure includes the foundational systems that shape our quality of life: water, transportation, transit, roads and highways, broadband, and power. It represents a multi-trillion-dollar market and a 20+ year megatrend in North America.

Citylitics transforms millions of documents across more than 40,000 cities, utilities, and public agencies into real-time market signals and high-value sales intelligence. Leading infrastructure vendors, engineering firms, and construction companies use the platform to identify and pre-position for major infrastructure opportunities earlier, helping them build relationships, shape project priorities, and influence scope before projects move to formal procurement.

Citylitics combines a network of AI agents, fine-tuned models, a proprietary infrastructure signals graph, and daily human-in-the-loop quality assurance workflows to deliver highly nuanced and reliable sales intelligence. The platform integrates seamlessly with CRMs, ERPs, and data lakes, embedding actionable insights directly into sales workflows so teams can prioritize the right pursuits and build stronger pipelines.

Our mission is to improve how infrastructure investments get made so critical needs can be addressed earlier and communities benefit from stronger, more resilient infrastructure.

Join Citylitics to work in a meaningful industry that will matter for decades to come while helping grow a company at the forefront of applied AI. We operate with a Results-Driven Mentality and a commitment to Raise The Bar, in a collaborative environment where Teamwork Makes the Dream Work as we tackle big challenges and celebrate wins together.
Who Are We Looking For?

Citylitics is looking for a Marketing Operations Analyst to help build and maintain the data foundation, campaign execution workflows, and GTM AI-agent processes that power our marketing and BDR engine.

This role sits within the Demand Generation team and is responsible for managing the account, contact, user, prospect, customer, and market-signal data that enables high-quality outbound campaigns, inbound follow-up, newsletters, customer segmentation, and targeted marketing programs.

You will work closely with the Demand Gen and BDR teams to ensure our data is accurate, complete, well-segmented, and campaign-ready. You will also help manage the handoff between demand generation programs and the BDR team, ensuring leads, contacts, accounts, and campaign responses are properly enriched, segmented, routed, and ready for follow-up.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with data, improving systems, building clean lists, creating useful segmentation, running email campaigns and newsletters, troubleshooting HubSpot workflows, and orchestrating AI-agent-enabled GTM processes that help marketing reach the right audience with the right message.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, operationally disciplined, technically curious, and excited by the opportunity to help scale a modern B2B marketing engine in a fast-growing AI and data company.

This is a hybrid role based out of Citylitics’ Toronto office and requires 3+ days in-office per week.

What Will You Accomplish? / How You Will Make An Immediate Impact:

Own Marketing Data Quality and Hygiene

Responsibilities include:

    • Maintain and improve account and contact data quality across marketing and CRM systems.
    • Identify and fix duplicate, incomplete, outdated, or incorrectly classified records.
    • Support data enrichment efforts using internal sources, external sources, and AI agents.
    • Use AI agents to support data collection, cleaning, normalization, enrichment, analysis, and QA.
    • Build and maintain clear data standards for fields, segments, lists, and campaign audiences.
    • Regularly audit data quality and surface issues that could impact campaign performance, reporting, or BDR follow-up.
    • Help ensure marketing data is structured in a way that supports accurate targeting, personalization, reporting, and segmentation.

Build Segmentation for Campaigns and GTM Programs

You will create and maintain the segmentation that enables more targeted outbound, inbound, customer, user, and newsletter marketing.

Responsibilities include:

    • Build account, contact, customer, prospect, and user segments for marketing campaigns.
    • Support segmentation by industry, geography, company type, market, customer status, product usage, persona, buying role, engagement level, signal type, and other GTM criteria.
    • Use Citylitics signals data to help identify relevant accounts, contacts, and audiences for targeted campaigns.
    • Partner with Marketing and the BDR team to define campaign audiences and ensure lists are accurate, usable, and follow-up ready.
    • Help create repeatable segmentation frameworks for priority markets, verticals, personas, newsletters, and campaign motions.
    • Maintain campaign lists and ensure they are properly tagged, sourced, and tracked.

Run Email Campaigns and Newsletters

You will support the execution of email campaigns and newsletters that engage prospects, customers, users, and target accounts.

  • Responsibilities include:
    • Build, schedule, QA, and launch marketing email campaigns and newsletters.
    • Prepare audiences, suppression lists, personalization fields, and campaign logic.

    • Help improve newsletter and email campaign performance through cleaner data, better segmentation, and tighter audience targeting.
    • Support ongoing campaign reporting and share practical insights with the Marketing team.

Enable the Demand Gen to BDR Handoff

You will help ensure that demand generation activity turns into clean, actionable follow-up for the BDR team.

  • Responsibilities include:
    • Support the handoff between demand generation campaigns and the BDR team.
    • Ensure leads, contacts, accounts, and campaign responders are properly enriched, segmented, scored, routed, and prioritized.
    • Prepare follow-up lists for BDR outreach based on campaign engagement, ICP fit, account priority, and relevant market signals.
    • Help define and maintain clear rules for campaign response handling, lead status updates, and BDR follow-up readiness.
    • Identify gaps in lead/contact/account data that slow down or weaken BDR outreach.
    • Support feedback loops between Marketing and BDRs to improve targeting, segmentation, messaging, and campaign quality.

Support Marketing Systems, HubSpot, and Process Improvement

You will help improve the operational systems and workflows that allow the marketing team to scale.

  • Responsibilities include:
    • Work within HubSpot, CRM systems, marketing automation tools, enrichment tools, and analytics tools to maintain clean and usable data.
    • Troubleshoot HubSpot questions, issues, and workflow concerns raised by GTM team employees, including Marketing and BDR users.
    • Help document marketing data processes, campaign list-building workflows, newsletter workflows, AI-agent workflows, and segmentation logic.
    • Identify opportunities to automate manual data preparation and campaign operations tasks.
    • Support reporting on database health, campaign readiness, lead quality, segmentation coverage, email performance, and BDR follow-up readiness.
    • Help create scalable processes so the marketing team can launch campaigns faster and with better targeting.

Support GTM AI-Agent Workflows

You will help Citylitics use AI agents to improve marketing operations, campaign execution, and GTM data workflows.

  • Responsibilities include:
  • Support AI-agent-enabled workflows for data collection, cleaning, normalization, enrichment, analysis, and QA.
  • Help identify repetitive marketing operations and data workflows that can be improved through AI agents.
  • Work with Marketing to define inputs, outputs, QA steps, and business rules for GTM AI-agent workflows.
  • Help monitor AI-agent outputs for accuracy, completeness, usability, and consistency.
  • Support documentation of AI-agent workflows, including prompts, process steps, exception handling, and quality checks.
  • Help translate marketing and BDR workflow needs into clear operational requirements for AI-agent-enabled processes.
  • Other duties as assigned

    • Experience running or supporting email campaigns, newsletters, nurture campaigns, or other marketing programs.
    • Strong comfort working with spreadsheets, lists, data exports, filters, formulas, and data cleanup.
    • Experience preparing or managing campaign lists, audience segments, contact data, or account data.
