About the Opportunity:

We are partnering with a publicly traded company to support an upcoming Senior Technical Accounting Manager opportunity (please note that this role is not yet active). We’re proactively identifying qualified candidates now as the scope and timing are finalized internally.

This role is expected to be a key contributor within the Corporate Accounting/Technical Accounting function, helping drive high-quality accounting guidance and documentation across complex transactions, policy implementation, and financial reporting. Qualified candidates who express interest will be prioritized for outreach once the opportunity officially opens.


This is an excellent opportunity for a technical accounting leader who enjoys partnering cross-functionally, translating complex GAAP into practical guidance, and operating in a fast-paced, high-standards environment.


Salary Range: $130,000-$180,000

Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.


Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technical accounting subject matter expert, researching and documenting conclusions under U.S. GAAP (including preparing accounting memos and position papers)

• Evaluate accounting implications for complex transactions (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, impairments, restructuring, debt/equity, derivatives, stock-based compensation)

• Support periodic close and financial reporting by advising on technical matters and reviewing key accounting judgments and disclosures

• Partner with FP&A, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and operational teams to ensure accounting considerations are identified early and applied consistently

• Assist with adoption and implementation of new accounting standards; develop/update accounting policies and training materials

• Support internal and external audit requests, including preparation of support for key areas and control documentation

• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to strengthen consistency, documentation quality, and timeliness


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field); CPA strongly preferred

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong foundation in technical accounting (public accounting and/or public company experience preferred)

• Proven ability to research, interpret, and apply U.S. GAAP and draft clear, well-supported technical accounting documentation

• Experience supporting public company reporting and disclosures (10-Q/10-K support is a plus)

• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and partner across functions and levels

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment

• Experience in medical device, life sciences, manufacturing, or other highly regulated/complex environments is a plus
