We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. This is a position in the Automotive industry, where you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our accounting department. This includes managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and developing strategies to improve financial performance. You will also be responsible for overseeing two rooftops. .Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits.
  • Meet financial accounting objectives.
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
  • Develop and implement bonus plans.
  • Use CDK Software, Reynolds and Reynolds, and other tools to streamline accounting processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Proven working experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager.
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
  • Experience with GL, financials, CDK Software, Reynolds and Reynolds, bonus plans, and overseeing two rooftops.
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
  • Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
