Foth is hiring an Accountant to play a critical role in our accounting operations, with a significant focus on administering and supporting our employee ownership program. This role blends handson accounting execution with ownership process administration, crossfunctional coordination, technical aptitude, and strong attention to detail.  

This position is wellsuited for an experienced accountant who has moved beyond transactional work and is comfortable owning complex processes, meeting deadlines, and collaborating across teams. 

Primary Responsibilities

General Accounting 

  • Prepare standard monthly and annual journal entries and perform general ledger account reconciliations 

  • Own assigned accounting areas such as accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and leases 

  • Participate in periodend close activities, ensuring deadlines are met with minimal rework 

  • Prepare schedules and documentation to support internal and external audits, surveys, and compliance requirements 

  • Utilize ERP systems to research, analyze, and validate accounting data 

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation. 

Ownership Program

  • Serve as a primary administrator of Foth's employee ownership program, supporting equityrelated processes from execution through reconciliation 

  • Manage ownershiprelated transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records 

  • Maintain and administer the ownership system (e.g., Shareworks or similar equity administration platform), including data integrity and required updates 

  • Prepare and reconcile ownershiprelated journal entries and schedules as part of monthly, quarterly, and annual close 

  • Support ownershiprelated financial reporting, audit requests, valuations, and compliance requirements 

  • Coordinate ownership activities with HR, Payroll, Legal, and Accounting to ensure timely and accurate execution of ownership events 

  • Respond to ownershiprelated inquiries from internal stakeholders with professionalism, clarity, and discretion 

 

Collaboration & Professional Expectations 

  • Manage multiple priorities independently, applying sound judgment and attention to detail 

  • Communicate proactively with accounting teammates and crossfunctional stakeholders 

  • Share knowledge and support continuity within the accounting team 

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for journal entries, reconciliations, and periodend close 

  • Handson general accounting experience (GL, reconciliations, journal entries) 

  • Experience working in an ERP system in a corporate accounting environment 

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., reconciliations, schedules, data validation) 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 

  • Experience supporting audits and preparing accounting schedules or documentation 

  • Direct experience administering equity, ownership, or stockbased programs 

  • Experience with Deltek VantagePoint (Foth's ERP System)
