POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Senior Project Manager at LJA Energy, you will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary engineering projects in the oil and gas sector, ensuring successful project delivery from conception through construction. You will coordinate directly with clients, contractors, and discipline leads to oversee project execution, quality control, and technical compliance. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships across multiple active projects.

Salary Range: $135,000 - $185,000

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

  • Leading the discovery, bidding, and execution of midstream engineering projects across a range of facility types.
  • Providing bid phase assistance to clients, including proposal development, cost estimation, and project planning.
  • Managing technical construction activities and responding to requests for information (RFIs).
  • Overseeing QA/QC on engineering packages, including specification review, comment incorporation, and full document coordination.
  • Reviewing and approving drawing packages, verifying compliance with client standards, and ensuring quality deliverables.
  • Coordinating with internal engineering disciplines and external stakeholders to achieve project milestones and objectives.
  • Compiling final engineering packages for distribution and record documentation.
  • Maintaining open communication with clients and representing LJA professionally during meetings, presentations, and site visits.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain licensure within two years.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10–15 years of experience managing multidisciplinary engineering projects in the oil and gas sector.
  • Strong familiarity with P&IDs, PFDs, facility site planning, equipment specification and procurement, and construction package assembly.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, organizational, and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project teams.

IDEALLY, YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE:

  • Experience leading midstream infrastructure projects such as compressor stations, terminals, or pipeline facilities.
  • Demonstrated success in business development or client growth initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and profitability.
