Job description

Dispatcher

We’re looking for experienced dispatchers who are proactive, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. If you’re a go-getter with a solid grasp of trucking operations and TMS systems, this could be the perfect next step in your logistics career.

Duties

  • Manage daily dispatch operations for employee drivers
  • Schedule and dispatch freight shipments using transportation management systems.
  • Monitor fleet operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate data entry for shipments, including tracking information and delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimize shipping routes and reduce costs.
  • Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze routes for efficiency.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely handling of goods.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, drivers, and customers to resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
  • Maintain real-time accuracy in TMS and GPS dispatch systems (Samsara)
  • Monitor load statuses in our routing system (Maxoptra)
  • Ensure compliance with Hours of Service and Logbook regulations
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and internal teams,
  • Generate and manage dispatch-related reports
  • Collaborate with Sales team to meet or exceed client expectations
  • Attend team meetings and meet performance KPIs regularly

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 plus years of dispatching
  • Proven experience in dispatching or a related field within supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems,
  • Strong understanding of fleet management principles and freight operations.
  • Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in using phone systems for communication purposes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in dynamic situations
  • A go-getter mindset with a proactive, solution-driven approach
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high-volume activity
  • Clear, professional communication and strong team collaboration
