Allen Control Systems (ACS) is aย cutting-edgeย defense startup, founded by twoย formerย Navy electrical engineers with a provenย track recordย in robotics and software. We are developing a small, autonomous gun turret that employs advanced computer vision and control systems to precisely target and neutralize small drones and loitering munitions. Our innovative approach requires overcoming significant technical challenges, making this an exciting and dynamic environment for experienced engineers and manufacturing professionals.ย 

Position Overviewย 

We are seeking a Facilities/Office Operation Associateย to be the hands-on champion of our physical workspace. You'll ensure our facilities run smoothly and efficiently so our engineers can focus on building world-class technology. This is a foundational role with significant growth potential as we continue to scale, including increased responsibility for coordinating and overseeing the work of internal and external maintenance resources. You'll work closely with our Office Manager to maintain clean, functional, and welcoming spaces while helping to build systems and processes from the ground up.

What You'll Doย 

  • Keep Operations Running Smoothly: Execute daily facilities tasks that keep our buildings functional, safe, and comfortable, while coordinating the work of third-party maintenance providers.
  • Support Our Growing Team: Ensure engineers have the environment and resources they need to do their best work.
  • Build Scalable Processes: Create maintenance systems, checklists, and workflows that scale with our growth.
  • Be the Go-To for Facilities: Handle everything from basic repairs to coordinating with contractors, vendors, and maintenance teams across our facilities network.

Day-to-Day Tasks:

  • Coordinate and execute minor facility projects, repairs, and ongoing maintenance needs.
  • Manage inventory and restocking of materials, supplies, and beverages, ensuring efficient logistics and proper par levels across all facilities.
  • Oversee office deliveries, shipments, and storage logistics.
  • Coordinate basic vehicle maintenance, cleaning, and detailing.
  • Support on-site contractors and vendors as needed.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues early.
  • Track and maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and spare parts.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and urgent facility issues.

Qualifications:ย 

  • Experience with basic maintenance, repairs, or facilities coordination.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, or general building maintenance.
  • Comfortable using technology for tracking work orders, inventory, and checklists.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor tasks.
