Job description

Position Purpose

Monitor existing IT systems.  Perform troubleshooting when needed by using knowledge to find solutions to common and specialized issues.  Act as a link between end-users and higher–level support.  Manage and assist with special projects as assigned.  Assist IT Technical Services personnel in various roles as needed.  

Job Scope

Essential Functions

  1. Coordinate end-user computer operating system upgrades.
  2. Assist Senior Network Manager with Exchange and Active Directory when needed.
  3. Assist Senior Systems Security Analyst with ongoing PCI compliance tasks and annual “PCI Report on Compliance”.
  4. Assist Director of Technical Services with disaster recovery processes and documentation.
  5. Assist with software and hardware configurations when needed.
  6. Assist with troubleshooting, repairs and data restoration when necessary.
  7. Manage corporate hardware and retain an inventory of spare equipment.  Document available  hardware including specifications, software versions, age of equipment, etc.
  8. Verify that all critical devices are backed up on a regular basis.

Ancillary Functions

  1. Complete special projects as assigned.
  2. Assist Technical Services teammates as needed.

Qualifications and Skills Required

--B.S. level or its equivalent and continuing education related to the position

--3-4 years of related experience with demonstrated achievements and progressive responsibilities

--Thorough knowledge of IT functions, data communication theory and practical application

--Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills

--Normal office environment

Education Equivalency

--High School diploma or GED plus 4 years of related experience

--AS/AA degree plus 2 years of related experience
