• Strong knowledge of safe medication administration, with the ability to prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and the College of Nurses of Ontario standards

• Promoting the Client’s self-care and self-sufficiency, emphasize adaptation and abilities, promote wellness and provide preventative health education, thus by treating the whole person

• Proven ability to complete assessments, RAPS, and individualized care plans accurately and within required timeframes

• Supporting the unregulated care workers through guidance, direction, training and education

• Post-graduate studies in Geriatrics and Nursing Administration is an asset

• Performing other duties as assigned

What you need to know:

• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate.

• Current Medication Administration Certificate.

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).

• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit

• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
