Job Summary
The Operating Room Attendant is an essential member of the perioperative team, responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient surgical environment. This role supports patient care by preparing operating rooms between procedures, assisting with patient transport and positioning, and ensuring rooms are properly stocked with the supplies and equipment needed for surgery. Working collaboratively with nurses, surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other clinical staff, the Operating Room Attendant helps prepare patients for surgery and promotes efficient operating room turnover to support high-quality patient care and optimal surgical workflow.
This a Friday-Sunday shift 7a-7pJob Description
**OR Attendant - Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
**BLS preferred
**Physically demanding position and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
**Will be responsible for maintenance of the Operating Room (OR) and assisting nurses with basic OR functions.
**This position is located at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
Licenses/Certifications (None)
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and read and write English.
  • Ability to perform duties requiring standing, walking, stooping, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.
