Position Schedule Information: This is a Monday โ€“ Friday position with NO Weekends or Holidays. Position schedule can vary (5x8hr or 4x10hr).

Position Summary:

The Operating Room RN provides expert professional nursing care for the patient during the OR course. The RN demonstrates a leadership role with continued competence in assessment, treatment and caring for patients. The RN is dedicated to providing safe, quality care in a compassionate and efficient manner.

Position Requirements:
  • Unencumbered active CT RN License
  • Minimum of 2 years OR experience; ambulatory surgery center experience preferred, orthopedic preferred
  • BLS and ACLS Certifications required
  • Able to communicate effectively, and have an ability to work compatibly with all physicians and staff
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English.
  • Possess strong organizational skills, and a clear understanding of the importance of efficiency and cost effectiveness in an ambulatory surgery center
  • Knowledge and clinical skills to perform the job duties of an OR Circulator RN
  • A strong knowledge of aseptic technique, anesthetic agents and complications, and the ability to handle emergency situations
  • Must have an aptitude for understanding, use of, and troubleshooting machines and equipment.
  • Experience with Orthopedic procedures (specifically total joints) a plus
  • Ability to scrub cases a plus
