As a Private Duty Nurse (PDN), you will:

  • Provideโ€ฏin-homeโ€ฏdirect patient care according to theโ€ฏproviderโ€™sโ€ฏprescribed plan of care (and nursingโ€ฏscope of practice) while closely monitoring progress/recovery.โ€ฏ
  • Assessโ€ฏand document patient conditions and reportโ€ฏchangesโ€ฏas needed (vitals,โ€ฏblood/stool/urine, glucose,โ€ฏetc.).โ€ฏ
  • Administer medication, insulin, and IV/fluids;โ€ฏdocumenting thoroughly.โ€ฏ
  • Inspect and care for wounds, changing dressings, and assisting with personal hygiene.โ€ฏ
  • Assess patients for further injuries, infections, bedsores, etc., and deliver appropriate treatments.โ€ฏ
  • Collaborate with providers, aides, and allied health professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.โ€ฏ
     

To qualify for a Private Duty Nurse (PDN) with us, you will need:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state associated with this position.
  • Current CPR/AED/BLS/First Aid certification.
  • Reliable transportation to/from care sites and/or work locations.โ€ฏ
  • Practical trach and/or ventilator experience preferred but not required.โ€ฏ
