Are you energized by building strong relationships, creating exceptional communities, and keeping operations running smoothly? Do you enjoy balancing financial oversight, customer service, and problem-solving while bringing people together toward a common goal?

If so, we'd love to hear from you. Highstreet is seeking a Strata Manager to join our Communities team in Kelowna, BC. This role is responsible for providing professional leadership and administration for Highstreet's growing portfolio of strata communities, ensuring they are well managed, financially sound, and are places owners are proud to call home.

WHY HIGHSTREET?

Highstreet is the largest developer, builder and operator of net-zero-ready homes in Canada and the only one offering double the standard warranty. We also manage our own growing portfolio of 1,400+ rental apartments with customer service scores that consistently rank among the best in the industry.

Our vision is that everyone in Highstreet’s community will want their friends to work with us, live with us and invest with us.

Help us achieve that vision.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Strata Manager, you will provide leadership and professional administration for assigned strata corporations. Working closely with Community Coordinators, Strata Councils, homeowners, trades, and service providers, you will ensure each community operates efficiently, remains financially healthy, and delivers an exceptional ownership experience.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Prepare and monitor annual operating budgets while reporting on financial performance and budget variances.
  • Build collaborative relationships with elected Strata Councils and provide professional guidance on governance and operations.
  • Chair monthly Strata Council meetings and Annual General Meetings, as required.
  • Partner closely with Community Coordinators, who serve as your on-site operational resource, to ensure communities are maintained to Highstreet's standards.
  • Obtain competitive quotes and coordinate contracted services including landscaping, cleaning, preventative maintenance, and specialty trades.
  • Develop and maintain a network of qualified vendors and trade partners.
  • Oversee the collection of strata fees and administration of financial records.
  • Prepare and execute strata documentation, correspondence, notices, and required forms.
  • Administer bylaw enforcement, including communication and violation notices where necessary.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between homeowners, Strata Councils, developers, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the homeowner experience through Highstreet's culture of continuous improvement.
  • Continuously look for ways to strengthen relationships, improve communication, and create communities where people are proud to live.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

While identifying with our values, the ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with exceptional organizational skills, financial acumen, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

The following characteristics are essential for success:

  • High attention to detail and commitment to doing things the right way.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build trust and influence others.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Comfortable facilitating meetings and navigating difficult conversations with professionalism.
  • Strong financial aptitude with confidence reviewing budgets and reporting on variances.
  • Highly organized with exceptional administrative skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Calm under pressure with excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and desire to find better ways of working.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Licensed Strata Manager in British Columbia.
  • Previous strata management experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of strata governance and the Strata Property Act.
  • Experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
  • Strong customer service and administrative background.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
