Job description

Job Purpose:
Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes. Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, material and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, manufacturing methods and quality control standards.
Duties:
  • Planning of manufacturing secondary operations.
  • Lead on the design and build of secondary equipment which includes installation and qualification of secondary equipment, along with continuous improvements of existing operations.
  • Recommend layout, workflow, and process improvement for manufacturing.
  • Responsible for setting efficiency standards for secondary operations.
  • Responsible for automation in molding operation.
  • Trouble shoots ergonomic issues and provides solutions.
  • Initiate action for error proofing.
  • Develop work instructions for machine and operators.
  • Promote team problem solving and productivity projects with operators, engineers, customers and management.

Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive knowledge of the plastic industry and various automation techniques.
  • Injection molding processing knowledge a plus
  • Manufacturing Tooling Design
  • Programming of PLC's , Robotic controls a plus
  • ERP- Epicor a plus
  • 3-7 year's experience
  • Education level high school or equivalent
