Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate Wire EDM/Vollmer machines (FANUC/Sodick) to produce high-precision components.
  • Cutting carbide and PCD
  • Monitor machine performance, make adjustments as needed, and troubleshoot issues to ensure continuous production.
  • Load and unload work pieces, install and align tooling, and perform necessary machine adjustments.
  • Develop and optimize CNC programs for Wire EDM/Vollmer machines (FANUC/Sodick) based on engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Make necessary adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on Wire EDM/Vollmer machines (FANUC/Sodick) to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify and report any equipment issues to maintenance staff for timely resolution.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Wire EDM Operator/Programmer in a manufacturing environment (1+ years), specifically with FANUC/Sodick
  • Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
