Job description

Job Summary:
Global Credit Union is seeking a Symitar Engineer to assist Product Development Teams in the engineering of Symitar development designed to achieve business outcomes. The role involves collaborating with team members, designing solutions, and applying best practices in Symitar methodologies.
Responsibilities:
• Participates in core feature and user story development, executing responsibilities, and collaborating with Product Development Team members.
• Designs Symitar solutions to satisfy technical requirements.
• Utilizes Symitar knowledge to write and complete user stories and product features.
• Applies design principles and patterns to develop robust product capabilities following Symitar Services methodologies and best practices.
• Actively engages with other product team members to provide assistance with Symitar architecture, coding standards, and system related issues.
• May verify the work of engineers or technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of team efforts and results.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably BSEE, BSCE, or BSCS or equivalent
• Equivalent technical education and/or related work experience
Preferred:
• At least one year of professional experience in a Symitar development team
• At least one year of experience with unit testing, change, configuration management
• At least one year of experience with software methodologies
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps practices and methodologies
• Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle
• Familiarity with operating systems, tools to test software applications/systems, and with development/modeling tools
• Passion and willingness to continue learning and utilizing up-and-coming technology trends
