Want to be part of this? We currently have an exciting opportunity for Full Stack Engineer II to join our Tailored Technology team. This individual will design, develop, and optimize multi-channel customer engagement systems using enterprise marketing automation platforms. The role requires a hands-on engineer who is equally comfortable designing enterprise-scale marketing technology solutions and rolling up their sleeves to build them. This position blends full-stack engineering, marketing cloud development, and architectural leadership to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions that support personalized customer engagement across digital channels. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and marketing technology.
What you'll do
Architecture & Technical Leadership
• Define and own the technical architecture for marketing platforms across multiple teams and business units.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions across front-end, back-end, and marketing cloud ecosystems.
• Architect real-time messaging flows, event-driven systems, and multi-channel customer journeys.
• Establish platform governance, reusable frameworks, coding standards, and integration patterns.
• Partner with engineering, data, and product teams to design end-to-end customer engagement solutions.
Hands-On Development
• Lead the design, development, and customization of enterprise DAM platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager Assets, Aprimo, Bynder, OpenText Media Management).
• Develop core backend services, APIs, and microservices supporting asset ingestion, transformation, metadata enrichment, and distribution.
• Develop advanced personalization using scripting languages in marketing cloud tools.
• Build full-stack components using modern frameworks (Node.js, Java, React, Angular, or similar).
• Implement REST APIs, microservices, and server-side integrations with marketing platforms.
• Build and troubleshoot complex automations, journeys, and cross-channel campaigns.
• Architect Data Extension models, segmentation strategies, and multi-brand data flows.
• Integrate marketing clouds with internal systems, CDPs, identity platforms, and real-time event streams.
• Optimize deliverability, personalization frameworks, and customer lifecycle automation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with marketing, CRM, engineering, and analytics teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Provide architectural guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to development teams.
• Evaluate new tools, platforms, and technologies to enhance marketing capabilities.
What you'll bring
• 5-8+ years of full stack engineering experience (front end + back end).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Node.js, or similar server side languages.
• Experience with modern front end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
• Deep expertise in REST APIs, microservices, and cloud native architectures.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of marketing data models.
• Hands on experience with AMPscript, SSJS, or equivalent scripting in other marketing clouds.
• Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Experience supporting multi brand or multi banner marketing operations.
• Experience with event driven architectures (Kafka, Pub/Sub, Kinesis).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Proficiency in DAM software (AEM, Bynder, Aprimo), cloud storage.
• Experience with real time personalization, experimentation, or decisioning engines.

This salary range is specific to California. The starting salary for this position is $92,810 - $140,355. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications. Over time, and subject to performance, tenure, and evolving responsibilities, total compensation for this role may grow to as much as $160,000. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
• Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
• Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
• Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from our Dublin, CA corporate office location.
